John Edwin Mein
was President of the American Chamber of Commerce in São
Paulo, the largest American commerce chamber in the world, outside
of the USA, where he started in 1988 as Executive Vice President.
Born to American parents in Recife (PE), he graduated with a Philosophy
and History degree from Carson Newman College in Tennessee, and
got his MBA at Thunderbird University, also in the USA. Mr. Mein
has work experience in many American and Brazilian companies,
in Planning, Business Development and Economic Development in
governmental entities. Currently board member of various organizations
such as the Instituto Ethos, Fundação Prêmio
Nacional da Qualidade, Transparência Brasil, Funcex, Sociedade
Brasileira de Estudos de Empresas Transnacionais e da Globalização
Econômica (SOBEET), Câmara de Comércio Eletrônico,
DHL and Embratel.
