In a time of increasingly accelerated change and growing interdependence of institutions, great adaptation power and pro-activity is demanded to face new realities. Institutions need to develop their own capacity to promote and manage their changes.

In other words, it is not exclusively an HR department’s challenge. Institutions as a whole can take over the process of change as they “learn to learn”, as they explore and question restrictions that keep the institution at present performance levels, and in this way “reinvent” themselves to reach the future that they really wish for.

 

Innovation

Is it possible to have one single person responsible for the learning and innovation in the institution? Is it possible to continue to find all the solutions at managerial level and make all others follow the orders of the ‘grand strategists’?

Organizations that are truly successful learn to bring out in people their engagement and capacity to learn at all levels of the organization. In this context, the Human Resources role can be decisive, when positioning itself not as responsible, but as facilitator of the learning processes of the institution.
